Jokers are wild cards, which means that a joker can stand in for another card. If a joker is on the table as part of a meld, it can be swapped if a player has the card that the joker is standing in for. (For example, if the joker is standing in for a King of Hearts, the player who has the real King of Hearts can perform a joker swap.) When a player swaps a joker, the joker moves to their hand, and they must play it on the same turn.
