A turn consists of three parts: drawing, playing, and discarding:
Drawing. A player must begin each turn by taking one card from either the top of the Stock Pile or the top card on the Discard Pile.
Playing. If the player has a meld in their hand, they may choose to play it onto the table. If they have cards that can be laid off onto existing melds, they may also choose to do so. There is no limit to the number of melds that can be played, or cards that can be laid off, on a single turn.
Discarding. At the end of a turn, a player must discard a card (that they did not take from the Discard Pile) to the top of the Discard Pile. Discarding ends a player’s turn.
(Note: While it is not allowed for a player to discard a card that they drew from the discard pile on the same turn; it is okay to discard a card that was drawn from the Stock Pile on the same turn)
