A game of Rummy takes place over several rounds. A round begins by cards being dealt to each player so the first turn can take place. Afterward, both players take turns drawing and discarding cards and try to make melds. Each player’s objective is to play all the cards in their hand, either by playing new melds or by laying cards off onto existing melds. When one player goes out by playing all the cards in their hand, that player receives points based on the cards remaining in their opponents’ hands. If a player has enough points to win (the score depends on your Settings), the game ends; if not, the next round starts.
