Provided that the knocking did not go Gin or Big Gin, their opponent may automatically Lay Off any unmatched cards into their opponents melds; after a Layoff happens, an Undercut may become possible. It is worth noting that a new meld cannot be created by laying off a card, it can only be added to an existing meld.
