General Gameplay
Placing Dice
Placing dice on the board is the primary action you will be performing in Dice Merge. To place dice on the board, use your finger to drag them up from the tray at the bottom of the screen and release them into a correctly sized empty space on the board, in which they will fit.
Rotating
Dice pairs can be rotated before they are placed. To rotate a dice pair, tap on the pair that is currently in your tray. Dice can only be rotated while in the tray, and cannot be rotated while dragging or after being placed on the game board.
Merging Dice
You need to merge dice to score points and advance in Dice Merge! Merging occurs automatically when 3 or more like-numbered dice are placed next to each other. Dice do not need to be connected in a straight line to merge, as long as one side of each like-numbered die is touching another it will count!
Large Merges and Combos
You will be awarded bonus points for merging 4 or more dice at the same time. You will also get bonus points for merging 2 different tier of dice in a single move. Keep an eye out for these bonus point opportunities.
Running Out of Room
The game is over when all spaces on the board are filled with dice and no more merges can be made. However, you can use special abilities to extend the game before running out of empty spaces on the board! After you run out of room, you will also have a chance to use one Continue per game to free up 3x3 board spaces on the board!
Basic Strategy
Basic Tips and Strategy for better gameplay
There are some basic tips for strategic gameplay. These are recommendations, and should be used as a reference only.
1. Remember to place the same dice tiers next to each other, to create a pair of the same dice tiers.
2. Place the different dice tiers unevenly, to add space to create the combo merges.
3. Dice that are 1 and 2 tier apart should also be placed 1 and 2 spaces apart, while it should not be applied to dice that are more than 3 tiers apart. It can be aligned to the other dice placed 1 space apart, or placed next to the die unevenly so that the dice is only touching one end of the die. In most cases, this strategy will help you to place the dice tiers that are in-between the 2 tiers for combo merges.
4. Avoid blocking the path. Double dice requires 2 spaces horizontally or vertically, and has higher probability of spawning vs the single die.
